Skills

I have knowledge in using Microsoft word, PowerPoint, excel, and publisher because my CTE course required knowing these applications. I took an Arizona Skills Standards Commissions certificate that I needed to pass in order to pass my CTE course. When I passed the test I then received a certificate saying that I have the ability to demonstrate guest service strategies, evaluating the value of communication skills, examining the sales and marketing functions, management and leadership, financial management, and assessing the safety/security/and sanitation standards for all environments.

Interest

My full name is Troi Briana Rhodes and I was born on October 8th of 1995 in Phoenix, Arizona. Growing up I had the advantage of having 5 other siblings, all of whom have different personalities and because of that I have the ability to communicate in a variety of ways. Ways such as communicating when someone is unhappy and needs resolution, providing care and happiness, and diffusing a conflicting matter. During the course of high school I was club president for Family Community Career Leaders of America which coincided for advance hospitality management that I took. In the course I had the opportunity to learn the five sectors of hospitality and how to apply them to everyday life for future reference due to the involvement I held in FCCLA. What has benefitted me the most in that course is analyzing the food and beverage and hospitality. I use these communication skills and techniques most often throughout my day. My participation in the extracurricular class is one of many others. I took several advance placement classes which all required me to earn a minimum of at least 10 hours of community service. Overall, I have about 50 hours worth of volunteering at locations such as the Love Shack Horse Rescue Ranch and Wild at Heart Bird Rescue both located in Cave Creek. Other locations are St. Mary`s Food Bank, John C. Lincoln Hospital, and local elementary seasonal festivals. My advance classes also gave me the benefit of the doubt and due to the grades I`ve received in them I was offered a full tuition scholarship to Glendale Community College where I`ll be a full-time student fall of 2014 to finish my basics.
