I've developed communication and leadership skills through clubs I had in middle school: Native American Club (dropped after a year, though I did become president), College and Career Club (became president of the club in my second and third year in it, took three years), a fundraiser type club about eating healthy (went around the school promoting health through speeches), and Science and Technology Club (I just love science).
As a side 'job' I had for College and Career Club, I had the counselors of the school run me through peer mediating, which has helped me be able to understand, diffuse, and make compromises in stressful and/or bullying situations. This, later in life, has helped my communication and understanding skills with other people.
Before I had a job at a school, I was usually extremely bored during free periods, and I got real friendly with the counseling, main, and nursing offices, and eventually started doing their filing for them, which I learned from when I would file for my mom at her workplaces.
While not my best, I can understand Sign Language, and can read (though not speak) Spanish.
I'm passionate about music of any kind and play a large assortment of instruments, from piano to bass drum to cello. I played drums in the school band and orchestra instruments in middle school.
I am extremely passionate about writing and have written and published (online) complete stories.
I'm a keen reader of horror books, and favorite author of that genre is Joe McKenney.
While I haven't been able to do these things recently, I love to help people out, from tutoring to blood donation to doing speeches.
